About Me

“I’m a loner in a catastrophic mind.” – Green Day

My name is Carly. I’m a 22-year-old Pennsylvania gal. I go to Slippery Rock University, where I major in communication, and I graduate in December 2017! Woohoo!

When I started blogging in 2014, I wrote movie reviews. It was great, but last year I became jaded and burned out. I just didn’t want to do it anymore. My burnout, combined with last year’s tumultuous election, made me realize what really matters. I’m more troubled by an orange swamp creature using the Constitution to spit his gum into than I am by Tarzan’s CGI-ed abs.

Don’t worry, I’m still going to talk about film and offer more succinct reviews than trying to crack jokes every paragraph. This blog, as a whole, is dedicated to ranting and pondering about other things, from heavy subject matter like politics and religion to simple, everyday things that grind my gears, such as why the hell did Limp Bizkit cover “Behind Blue Eyes”? And is it really too much work to put on your turn signal?

Also… LISTS! Lots of lists. Honestly, my blog is more tonally inconsistent than an episode of Baywatch.

Basically, as the late, great George Carlin would put it, “brain droppings.”
